Welcome, new disciples!

A Martial Odyssey is a personal project of mine out of passion, due to having a lot of running ideas about a Wuxia/Xianxia that I would love to read. It’s an ongoing web serial, so because of that there will be daily chapter updates until I can finally conclude the story. There’s a running schedule now of 3-4 chapters a week, without fail. I also publish this story on other sites such as RR.

If you want to read the story, start here.

3-4 chapters guaranteed every week! (haven’t figured out the particular days as of yet.)

Synopsis

The life of a martial artist on the island of Hannamith can be short, and brutal. Grisla Orlith Grittus is one such marital artist, a teenager who’s a member of one of the most powerful warrior clans in the region, the Grittus clan. He, who once basked in glory and admiration from his elders and peers has turned into a shadow of himself, a cripple who can no longer progress any further in his cultivation. Said to be a deficiency of his body, or disease, regardless the clan has cut ties with him, leaving him to rot at the outskirts of Leimuth with his father.

Grisla cannot accept his fate, and because of this, the Odyssey begins.

For those of you unknown to what Wuxia/Xianxia means, its a genre of eastern fantasy, specifically to China. The literal definition of Wuxia means: “martial heroes”, think of your Kung Fu movies but this time they have magic, people who can step across a lake with one step, flying swords, all that cool stuff. Because of this work being influenced by the east, there will be a lot of mythological beasts and creatures of the supernatural. The “Magic system” of these works is entirely different than what you would usually find in your average fantasy.

The characters in these type of fictions work to further their knowledge in martial arts, which in turn brings them further along upon their Path, Dao, Way, whatever you want to call it—Spiritual enlightenment.
